A $1B Clippers Arena Coming to a Town Near You

The Los Angeles Clippers future is starting to become more clear. Their arena, highlighted by a basketball and net metal exterior design, will neighbor the home of the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood.

However, set to open in 2024, the Los Angeles Clippers arena isn't being welcomed by all as Inglewood residents are fighting to stop construction. Their argument is that the city-owned land could have been better used to provide affordable housing. Madison Square Garden, owner of the Forum, is also suing the city under the premise that secret negotiations had occurred.

In addition to the arena, the site will include a concert stage, public basketball courts, and community space. While the NFL stadium will include a 300-room luxury hotel, 620,000 square feet of retail space, a giant outdoor movie screen, 2,500 units of housing, and an updated Hollywood Park Casino.
