The Grand, formerly known as the Grand Avenue Project, will include a 20-story, 309 room Equinox hotel, a 39-story residential tower with 400 residences including some reserved for affordable housing, 176,000 square feet of restaurants and shops, and a 16-acre park.
Officials had hoped to break ground in December 2007 but the project was pushed back due to the Great Recession. The Grand is set to open by the end of 2022.
