The Sunset Strip, and possibly its edge, is in the middle of a re-brand. House of Blues has been gone and The Viper Room, of Johnny Depp lure, looks to be next - if only temporarily.
The club, along with its neighboring buildings were sold last year for $80 million. The new owner, Silver Creek Development Co., has proposed a very cool looking building: a 15-story piece of architecture that will feature 31 condos (10 units set aside for lower-income), a 115 room hotel, spa, gym, outdoor pool, new restaurants and lounges along with a new venue for The Viper Room.
Residents have been asked for feedback before the design is presented to the West Hollywood Planning Commission's Design Review Subcommittee.
